‘Kulo’ Controversy

The group believes that art is open to all interpretations. Much criticisms said by the Catholic Church caused people to react in bandwagon in support of their biased opinion. As much as the exhibit showed a provocative execution of the artist’s freedom of expression, it cannot be discounted that the art reflects a reality that needs an understanding. 

From the point of view of the group, what art needs is a deeper understanding more than a preconceived judgment.
